11/1 for 1

I’m jumping off the deep end.  I’ve spent most of my adulthood more or less oblivious to the blogging world.  And then…well, a great thing happened.  I became reacquainted with a dear friend from high school, and became totally addicted to her blog (once I figure out this whole system, I’ll add a link).  I admire her courage for writing incredibly beautiful and personal entries that anyone may view; in many ways her posts have helped fill in the holes in her life that I have missed.

Starting a blog of my own is something I’ve been toying with for a few months.  I love writing; it has served me well in my life.  I suspect that I am a closet English major.  Or, it was something I was conditioned to do like a Pavlov’s dog:  a bell rings and I must sit down and force words out of my brain.  At least it’s neater than salivating.

So, on November 1 (despite what the date mark says – in California we’re still 5 hours away from 11/2), I submit blog entry one, though not necessarily for your approval.  I hope to write for writing’s sake – somewhere a bell is ringing.
